Borrelia + TBE (combination)

Analysing the tick for Borrelia and TBE

The Borrelia and TBE (tick-borne encephalitis) combined analysis includes three analyses – firstly the verification that the tick is really a tick (Ixodes ricinus) and secondly the analysis of whether there are Borrelia bacteria or TBE viruses in the tick. All analyses are carried out at RNA and DNA level using the real-time PCR method.

The analysis takes a maximum of three working days after arrival of the tick
