Analysing the tick for Ehrlichia

The Ehrlichia analysis includes two analyses – on the one hand, verification that the tick really is a tick (Ixodes ricinus) and whether Ehrlichia bacteria are present in the tick. Both analyses are carried out at DNA level using the real-time PCR method.

The analysis takes a maximum of three working days after arrival of the tick.
